2. We determine the lifting capacity at the center of gravity of 500 or 600 mm, lifting height, duplex or triplex mast, and free lift, i.e., lifting forks without extending the outer mast section.
3. We select tires, power source, and equipment — for example, side shift or fork spread adjustment.
4. You receive the specification, equipment list, net/gross price, transport and commissioning cost, UDT service scope, and delivery date.
5. You choose purchase or rental, and if necessary, also a financing option (leasing, credit).
6. After the agreement, we organize delivery, document handover, and optional service care.

To prepare an offer for a Liugong forklift, a short checklist is enough:

• type, weight, and dimensions of the load and required lifting capacity;
• lifting height, gate height, and aisle width;
• type of floor or surface and preferred drive;
• work mode and time available for charging or refueling;
• company data and machine pickup location.

How to select a Liugong forklift for application and budget (new vs used)

Start with the place of operation: hall, yard, or mixed route. Measure aisle width, gate clearances, and storage height. In shift work, the time available for charging or refueling is also important — it often determines the choice of drive and battery type.

For halls, electric drive is usually the best fit: quiet and emission-free at the workplace. LPG works well in mixed tasks, and diesel provides great autonomy outdoors. In the Liugong catalog, you will find, among others, the compact CLG2S016-WF3 with a width of 820 mm, the electric CLGA30-S/C with a lifting capacity of 3,000 kg, and the combustion constructions CLG2030G and CLG2030H. When choosing between a new and used machine, compare the lower price of a second-hand unit with the predictability of configuration and condition of a new forklift.

Quick facts — gather them before talking to the supplier:

• load weight and its center of gravity, e.g., 500 or 600 mm;
• required lifting height and lowered mast height;
• drive: electric, LPG, or diesel;
• duplex or triplex mast and free lift value;
• type of tires: non-marking or solid for a smooth floor, pneumatic for an uneven yard.

Nominal lifting capacity is not enough: it decreases with increasing height and shifting the center of gravity. Also compare turning radius, construction width, fork length, and clearance. Each Liugong forklift should be selected based on the nameplate and load chart, not just the description in the advertisement.

Common mistakes in advertisements: confusing mm with m, inconsistent battery production year, and lack of free lift value. Always confirm such data in writing in the documentation.

Drive in Liugong forklifts: electric, LPG, or diesel — what to choose for the hall and outdoors

The drive should be matched not only to the location but also to the shift rhythm and downtime cost. For warehouses, the electric variant provides low noise, no emissions, and usually lower energy costs. Brushless motors reduce the number of maintenance activities, but the PzS battery requires planned charging, and Li-ion allows short recharges during breaks. In cold stores, selected versions of the A-T/S series can work even at −35°C — we always confirm the temperature range of a specific configuration.

With frequent trips between the hall, ramp, and yard, LPG offers long autonomy and a quick return to work after cylinder replacement. However, ventilation, fuel availability, and higher noise levels than in battery versions must be considered. Diesel best withstands long outdoor tasks, ramp slopes, and harsher conditions, but generates emissions, is noisier, and usually requires a wider range of engine maintenance.

Before choosing, ask about:

• real working time on a battery or one refueling;
• availability and method of LPG cylinder replacement;
• emission standard of the combustion engine;
• allowable working temperature and traction on a wet ramp.

PzS vs Li-ion Battery: Charging, Shift Work, and Energy Costs

The PzS battery, an industrial lead-acid battery, requires electrolyte control, proper ventilation, and full charging cycles. It works well with a predictable one-shift plan, but longer downtime at the rectifier must be included in the schedule. Li-ion is practically maintenance-free, tolerates short recharges during breaks, and full charging can take about 2 hours — we confirm the time for specific capacity and charger.

In multi-shift work, calculate the cost of energy, downtimes, and infrastructure, not just the price of the battery. Two batteries are worth considering when one does not cover the entire day, and replacement is technically provided. When planning charging, check voltage (V), capacity (Ah), and rectifier power. In a used forklift, request a photo of the nameplate, production date, capacity report, and cycle count — the battery year must match the documents.

Key Liugong Parameters: Lifting Capacity, Mast, Free Lift, Dimensions, and Tires

Compare offers 1:1: in kilograms for load capacity and own weight, and in millimeters for lifting height, collapsed mast height, construction width, and fork length. The lifting capacity alone is not enough — the nominal value applies at a specified load center of gravity, usually 500 or 600 mm. With a longer pallet or work on the highest shelf level, the load capacity may decrease, so ask for a load chart for the selected mast and equipment.

A triplex mast has three sections and allows for greater height with relatively low construction height. Free lift means lifting forks without increasing mast height — crucial under the ceiling, in a container, or at a low gate. Dimensions also matter: the compact CLG2S016-WF3 is 820 mm wide, while the counterbalance CLGA30-S/C measures 1,265 mm.

Finally, measure gates, aisles, and shelf clearances, and check the turning radius. Choose tires for the surface: pneumatic better dampen irregularities, solid reduce the risk of punctures, and polyurethane and non-marking protect the clean floor of the hall.

Duplex vs Triplex and Free Lift — When These Options Really Save Time

A duplex mast has two sections and works well with moderately high shelves; the example CLG2030H lifts to 3,300 mm. A triplex consists of three sections, offering greater reach with a small height when folded — in CLG2025G, the lifting height is 4,700 mm, and the lowered mast is 2,175 mm. Free lift allows raising the forks without increasing mast height, enabling the operator to pick up pallets faster under a low ceiling, at a gate, or inside a container, without constant reversing and repositioning.

Before choosing, measure:

• the lowest gate and ceiling height,
• the level of the highest shelf,
• required clearance above the load,
• height of the collapsed mast.

Purchasing a Liugong Forklift: Where to Find Offers, How to Read Ads, and Buy Safely

Machines are usually sought in three ways. A dealer presents a factory configuration, financing conditions, and warranty scope. Industry platforms make it easier to compare many forklifts, but the data is entered by the seller and may contain errors. Import from Germany or other EU countries expands the choice, but the cost must include transport, inspection, exchange rate differences, and VAT settlement method.

When browsing ads, set filters in this order:

• lifting capacity and production year,
• mast type and lifting height,
• free lift value in mm,
• type and declared condition of tires,
• operating hours and additional equipment,
• net or gross price and currency.

Labels like “new” or “like new” say little. In offers, the CLGA30-S/C from 2022 cost €25,990 net as a new machine, while a used CLG2030G with 21 mth mileage — €24,900 net. Such a small difference shows that profitability is calculated through TCO: purchase price, transport, financing, depreciation, and expected downtimes. A price without VAT and equipment information is not yet a basis for comparison.

When an offer does not provide a price, serial number, or operating hours, demand written confirmation. The same applies to a battery dated later than the forklift and suspicious units like fork length “2,400 m.” Request photos of the nameplate, counter, and battery label. Negotiate based on inspection results, tire wear, complete history, and equipment compliance with the description — not on the slogan “bargain.”

New or Used Liugong: How to Assess Profitability and Risk (TCO in Practice)

In TCO calculation, assume the actual forklift load and the cost of one hour of downtime. A new machine usually better protects shift work continuity and critical SLA, i.e., agreed availability level. A used one may be more reasonable for occasional tasks, provided its condition can be documented.

The ad should contain five “must-have” data: operating hours with counter reading, service history with dates, tire condition, battery condition report, and exact equipment. The entry “tires 80–100%” or “battery good” is not enough — request a tread measurement or capacity test. Does the used unit still pay off after adding the first repairs and possible downtime? If not, the higher price of a new forklift may be a cheaper operational decision.

Used Forklift Inspection Checklist: Hydraulics, Mast, Battery, Tires, Documents

Inspections are best conducted with an operator or independent technician, always during a load test:

• start the cold forklift, drive in both directions, and check the service and parking brake;
• lift the load, tilt the mast, and operate the equipment — jerking, fork dropping, or leaks lower the hydraulic assessment;
• check mast, roller, carriage, and fork play and unusual noises;
• measure tire wear; compare declared 80–100% with photos, tread, and side damage;
• in the electric version, read V, Ah, and battery year and commission a capacity test under load;
• compare serial number, year, weight, and lifting capacity with the nameplate, invoice, and offer description.

The technical condition is worth documenting with a protocol and test recording.

The easiest way to compare offers is to reduce them to a few typical configurations:

An ad described as “mast 4.7 m” does not yet say whether the forklift will fit under the gate or what lifting capacity it will retain at this height. Compare the height of the collapsed mast, free lift, tire type, fuel or battery parameters, and the presence of side shift. Object and load dimensions are more important than the model name. Confirm data from the portal with the card of a specific specimen: the entry “2,400 m” for forks or a battery with a date later than the forklift year is a signal to request a nameplate photo and written correction.
