We are pleased to inform you that the competition “Funding for contribution payer activities to improve occupational safety and health – competition no. 2024.01” organized by the Social Insurance Institution for projects concerning maintaining work capacity throughout the entire period of professional activity implemented in 2025 (Competition no. 2024.01) is starting.
Deadline for submitting funding applications: February 26 – March 27, 2024
Project objective:
- improving occupational safety and health
- reducing the risk of workplace accidents or occupational diseases
- reducing the adverse impact of risk factors.
Subject of funding:
Funding covers activities that fall within the following technical areas:

- safety of technical installations, machines, equipment and workplaces;
- devices protecting against noise and mechanical vibrations as well as electromagnetic radiation;
- lighting of workplaces and workstations and protection against optical radiation;
- protection against electrical energy and static electricity;
- air purification and treatment devices, mechanical air ventilation devices;
- equipment and devices for improving work safety at height, in excavations and other work zones;
- equipment and devices for limiting musculoskeletal system load;
- equipment and devices for improving work safety in case of exposure to chemical factors and harmful biological factors;
- personal protective equipment.
Competition participation conditions:
A contribution payer who meets all of the following conditions can participate in the competition:
- is not in arrears with paying social insurance and health insurance contributions;
- is not in arrears with paying taxes;
- is not in a state of bankruptcy, under commissioner management, in the process of liquidation, bankruptcy proceedings or arrangement proceedings with creditors;
- is not applying for another funding before 3 years have passed from the date of payment by ZUS of the entire last funding;
- is not applying for another funding before 3 years have passed from the date of return of funding to which they were obligated.
Catalog of investment activities:
Purchase of equipment serving exclusively to limit musculoskeletal system load:
a. riding trucks for moving pallets (with lifting capacity up to 2 tons and maximum lifting height up to 3.5 m) exclusively with electric drive such as: pedestrian trucks, platform trucks,
b. manually operated tractors for trucks, e.g. warehouse trucks (with lifting capacity up to 2 tons and maximum driving speed up to 6 km/h),
c. devices for vertical transport of sick and disabled persons within one floor, e.g. rehabilitation lifts,
d. wood extraction sets (forest trailer with crane, without lifting capacity limitation).
The total funding level for all investment activities of the project in this scope cannot be greater than 40,000 PLN.
Forklifts with seats, trucks without electric drive, agricultural tractors, mini excavators, mini loaders and other multi-task devices, devices for transporting bulk or liquid materials without packaging, devices for horizontal transport of persons (including deceased persons), devices for vertical transport of persons (including deceased persons) within more than one floor, vehicles (passenger, cargo, special) not subject to technical supervision are not eligible for funding.
Additional documents required when submitting the application:
• documentation of musculoskeletal system load assessment based on detailed time study (minimum 6 positions) of activities performed during the entire work shift along with photographic documentation of each activity mentioned in the time study and detailed description of the size and mass of transported objects, loads or materials and forecast of musculoskeletal system load reduction.
