Compared to a scissor boom lift, however, it has certain limitations regarding loading capacity caused by the basket surface allowing only for worker transport. The basket lifting technology in a scissor boom lift allows the platform to move only in vertical motion. It is, however, simpler, less prone to failure and cheaper to service.
