Application of scissor lifts, lifting platforms
A scissor lift, also known as a scissor platform, is a tool used for vertical transport. It consists of a non-slip base, scissors – which determine the working height of the machine, and the platform itself, usually surrounded by barriers. This allows for safe and comfortable use. Such platforms can be used both indoors and outdoors.
Scissor lifts find application in large-area halls where intervention in stored goods is necessary, for example during inventory. Examples of such halls include warehouses, production halls, or hypermarkets. Thanks to platforms, various types of repair work, maintenance, or goods display can be performed.
Workers using scissor lifts can do so in a comfortable and safe manner thanks to the barriers. However, scissor lifts without barriers, with possibly low platform surface but with increased lifting capacity, are used in automotive mechanics. Combustion engine lifts used outdoors are used for facade repairs or cleaning external window panes. Scissor lifts can also be used for temporary or permanent transport of disabled people to building floors.
